terrible shipping and costumer service

i ordered a Vive Cosmos Elite on the 10th of this month, i was excited for the headset so forked over $44 for 2 day shipping and the f***ers had the nerve to tell me i wouldn't be getting a refund when i complained the shipment wont be getting here until the 15th according to FedEx, because apparently the $44 wasn't enough to cover weekend shipping and they only do it on business days
f*** you HTC

HTC Vive cosmos is an awful headset

HTC Vive cosmos is an awful headset. Buggy and designed to break quickly. Support couldn't do anything and just told me to factory reset my headset every time I wanted to use it. Awful.

Customer Service- non existent...Beware

I just recently purchased the VIVE Cosmos Elite, and so far have been having a good time playing games. That is, until I had to use their support. A screw on one of the integrated ear phones snapped on the inside. They asked for it to be sent in to determine if it was a warranty item. Considering where it was broken, I was hoping they would cover it, but also understood I may need to replace the headphone. Well, the quote came back.... $200 for the replacement. Blows my mind. I Said I would like to discuss it further and they indicated that it did not matter, if I did not pay for the repairs it would be sent back, no questions asked. Based on this experience, I hope something major doesn’t go wrong where I cannot fix it without their help. I will not buy an HTC product again.

Defective Hardware Plus Awful Customer Service Equals No Repeat Business

I really love my Vive Pro but after the latest experience I've had with them... I honestly cannot condemn this company more. If it wasn't a reputable brand, I'd say this was a scam.
Short Version:
Vive Pro stopped working overnight, have sent it in three times for repair in warranty and it's still not fixed six months later. Customer service is a mixed bag. No compensation has been offered.
Long Version:
I used my Vive Pro last around December time '19. Put it away to enjoy some family gathering, came to it the next day and it wouldn't power on. Support determined a fault with the Link Box (the bit that connects the Vive to the PC) and it got sent off for repair.
They did in fairness find a fault in the Link Box but it took almost a month to come back to me, after I repeatedly chased them for an update. Link Box came back with the back damaged from where they'd removed the sticker to get at the screws. Really sloppy job.
On trying to use the repaired Link Box, the system still did not work. After multiple discussions with their support who would sometimes put me on hold for over a week, and who asked me to send the Link Box back which again took almost a month to come back, they eventually agreed the fault might be with the HMD (the bit that goes on your head).
The HMD is now out for repair. As to timelines I've been slower to send packages and reply to emails because this is starting to feel like a joke. This isn't a repair issue, it's a repair saga. It slips my mind completely that I even have a repair pending and usually end up chasing them when I think, "wasn't there something I really used to enjoy doing in that big empty space in my living room... Oh yeah!"
Nothing has been offered in the way of compensation for the fact that I have lost my ability to enjoy owning this device for so long. The device has been essentially damaged during repair which effects any chance I have of reselling it. Honestly this whole situation is just dreadful.
When friends and family ask what VR headset I'd recommend I'd just point them to the Valve Index as having used it, I wish I'd held out for one instead of buying into Vive.
On a slightly amusing note Vive call all their support staff either Jack or Anna depending on gender. So you have no idea who you're talking to. Occasionally one of them is helpful but often they're just completely useless. Either that or they genuinely only have two people on support... Which might explain some things actually.
